Job Description

Due to expansion, Roehampton Gate School and our new Putney Vale Campus are looking to recruit an outstanding Performing Arts Teacher to join our Teaching team! We are looking for an ambitious, energetic and committed teacher who will expand the learning experiences of our pupils. The successful candidate will be teaching and supporting our young people who may have autism, emotional behavioural difficulties, ADHD and associated complex needs.


We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and creative Teacher to deliver high-quality performing arts teaching across Key Stages 2, 3, 4 and 5 within our specialist setting. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a unique cohort of learners, delivering a personalised curriculum that focuses on progression, independence and meaningful outcomes.


We have recently opened our Putney Vale site, a dedicated post-16–19 provision located in a brand-new, purpose-designed building in Putney Vale. This provision offers a fantastic range of opportunities, including both academic and vocational qualifications, as well as a variety of post-16 courses. These are complemented by enriching experiences such as volunteering, enterprise projects, and preparation for adulthood. Our Post-16 site in Putney Vale focuses on vocational training, life skills, and developing independence to help prepare students for adulthood.


Shortlisting will take place on the 19th of May with interviews taking place over the 21st and 22nd of May.


As a SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Teach using a stage-not-age approach, ensuring learning matches each student’s developmental level
  • Build confidence, resilience and independence through structured and creative teaching approaches
  • Monitor, assess and track student progress in line with EHCP outcomes


We are looking for a passionate practitioner who:

  • Is a qualified teacher with experience in SEN or inclusive education
  • Can adapt learning creatively to meet a wide range of needs
  • Is committed to personalised learning and achieving the best outcomes for every student
  • Has excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
