As a Residential Support worker you will be expected to be hands on and able to cope well under pressure in challenging situations. Our Ofsted rated Outstanding home, Park View, based in Stoke on Trent provides provision for young people aged 16-25 years of age who have mild to severe learning difficulties. This includes emotional, social and behavioural difficulties or disabilities. With needs increasingly more complex, our Home uses meaningful, practical learning activities to engage and motivate young people, and to provide them with the life skills they require to succeed. This means that your role will be varied in the sense that you will support our young people with their learning by accompanying them to college, as well as going out into the local community to take part in fun activities such as swimming, badminton, and trips to the farm. No two days are the same within our home and if you're up for the challenge, you can be part of the fun too!
Experience isn’t always essential but you will need to have a strong work ethic, and the ability to be versatile in your approach to every scenario.
If you want residential childcare to be a job for life, Aspris Children’s Services will help you get there.

All applicants must be willing to undergo safeguarding screening appropriate to the post, including checks with Disclosure & Barring Service and at least 2 references which cover the last 3 years; for all our services we will request references from where you have worked with either Children or Vulnerable Adults. Please be advised that references may be requested prior to interview for roles within our Schools.
